WORK EXPERIENCE

Cambridge Mobile Telematics, Cambridge MA, June 2023 - August 2023

Mechanical Engineering Intern

  • Utilized Onshape for new product designs and creating new manufacturing fixtures to improve assembly efficiency

  • Conducted RCA to resolve field and manufacturing failures, improve manufacturing processes, and streamline testing

  • Designed 3D printable device housing with suction cup mounts for seamless testing during new material changes

  • Developed a specialized battery charger/discharger PCB using Altium Designer and Arduino to aid in battery testing

Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN, December 2020 - Current

SCALE Program: Space Application Research Intern, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering

  • Research radiation effects in silicon carbide semiconductor material to validate space applications for a NASA grant

  • Quickly achieved proficiency to use relevant lab equipment such as micromanipulator probes and power supplies

  • Reduced testing time over 80% by designing a microscope adapter, a custom PCB, and integrating LabView code

  • Investigated novel findings from original research to now lead research in room temperature recovery of defects

Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH, June 2018 – August 2019

Research Intern, Electrical Engineering

  • Successfully researched, designed, and prototyped a vibration powered LED device to prove vibrational energy as a viable renewable energy source for nano scale electronics using programs such as Fusion 360 and Altium Designer

  • Utilized oscilloscopes, resistance meters, and other lab equipment to develop an effective vibrational energy harvester

  • Learned Autodesk Fusion 360 and Altium Designer to design the device housing and the custom PCB

PROJECTS

Water Gun Alarm Clock, Personal Project, July 2022 - Current

  • Designed a slider crank mechanism and housing parts based on DFM/A to validate designs using SolidWorks

  • Coded an Arduino to integrate stepper motors to the mechanism and to create an alarm system

  • Utilized additive manufacturing methods such as 3D printing to rapidly prototype each iteration of the mechanism

Tikkun Olam Makers (TOM) Makeathon, Nashville, TN November 2021 - November 2022

  • Collaborated in a team to prototype and design a food delivery device and assistive button fastener tool

  • Developed, and prototyped a rack and pinion mechanism in 2 days to deliver liquified food through a feeding tube

  • Enabled user to feed themselves independently for the first time using our solution

Engineering Course Projects, Cleveland, OH August 2018 – December 2018

  • Collaborated in a team to design an offshore windfarm layout for Lake Erie Energy Development Corporation

  • Sourced information on topography, wind speeds, environmental concerns and more to design an effective wind farm

  • Planned a solution to hit projected break-even goals 40% quicker and generate $740 million over the projected lease

  • Worked with United Cerebral Palsy to design a versatile, lightweight, and affordable mount for assistive technology

  • Designed a mount mechanism that is 80% lighter and 300% cheaper while increasing versatility
